Biography: Wil Murray was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He was educated at the Alberta College of Art + Design. Murray was named an honourable mention in the RBC Painting Competition in 2008and was included in the Magenta Foundation’s book "Carte Blanche Vol. 2: Painting" . A fomer member of the Loop Gallery in Toronto, he is represented in Canada by the Patrick Mikhail Gallery and the Diane Farris Gallery . Murray was also the curator of Painting: Thick and Thin, presented as part of SI08: Art + Design Festival at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery and Glenbow Museum in Calgary, July 2008. |
